Robert Dudock

Robert Dudock, Biology instructor at Mott Community College (MCC), has been named this year's Ballenger Chair. Mr. Dudock has a strong background in the Sciences and, as this year's Ballenger theme is Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM), his knowledge and experience will serve the committee well.
Mr. Dudock began his college education at MCC where he was taught by faculty that are now his colleagues! He received his BS in Microbiology from Michigan State University. While at MSU, Mr. Dudock received a small grant to perform undergraduate research with Dr. Julius Jackson, which led to a presentation at the MSU Undergraduate Research Forum entitled, "Computational Determinants of Protein Structure." His Master's Degree thesis focused on "A Data Mining Analysis of Protein Recognition of Double-Stranded RNA." During his graduate work, he served as Research Assistant at the Allan W. Nicholson Laboratory and as Graduate Teaching Assistant in Microbiology. He is a recipient of the Wayne State University (WSU) Exceptional Service in Teaching Award.
Mr. Dudock's experience includes part-time instructor at WSU, MCC and Lansing Community College (LCC). He is very active at MCC with the Science Olympiad, the BIOL-111 Lab Manual, and serves as volunteer assistant for the MCC volleyball team.
Mr. Dudock is no stranger to the Flint area. Born at St. Joseph Hospital, now the site of Mott's Regional Technology Center, he has resided in Genesee County his entire life. His wife, Lorrie, is a special education teacher. Their combined family consists of three children: an MCC volleyball player pursuing an education in the Cosmetology program; a Marine Corp ROTC Scholarship recipient at EMU; and an elementary school student. Mr. Dudock is an avid volleyball player, golfer, and musician.
