Get your imagination in gear!
A novel summer camp experience giving young people a chance to explore their creative side is being offered by Mott Community College again this year.
MCC's Creative Expressions Camp will provide a variety of creative writing activities for students in grades 4-8, at all skill levels. The camp will meet from 8:00 am to 12 noon, Monday-Thursday, July 19-22, 2010, in designated classrooms in the Curtice-Mott Complex on the MCC main campus, 1401 E. Court Street in Flint.
The creative writing sessions will be led by Mott Community College faculty and students. Supplies, equipment and snacks will be furnished by MCC. The camp is free of charge.
Past camp workshops have included such themes as "Personal Narratives;" "Write Your Own Ghost Story;" "Make a Speech" and "Create poetry from a visual image."
A special presentation for students to showcase their projects is scheduled for 4 to 6 pm Thursday, July 22. The camp is funded by the Foundation for MCC.
