The Mott Community College
Student Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for students
representing various disciplines at our college to develop leadership
and public relations skills while providing a service to MCC. As
representatives of the college, Student Ambassadors will participate
in social, cultural, marketing and fundraising activities sponsored
by the college. Assignments may include: assisting at the information
desk, conducting tours of the campus and Regional Technology Center,
participating in the phone-campaign, “host/hostessing” at
presidential functions, representing the college at community and
recruitment events throughout the county (i.e., visits to area
high schools, job fairs, college nights, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Current student enrolled for at least 6 credit hours
Possess effective communication skills.
Interested in developing leadership and public relations skills.
Students who wish to apply for the Student
Ambassador Program should submit an application and
a letter of recommendation from an MCC faculty or staff member.
Please return the completed forms to the Office of Admissions,
PCC2140.
Faculty and staff who wish to nominate
a student for the Student Ambassador Program should submit
a completed nomination
form.
Selection Process:
Application and nomination forms will be reviewed
and students will be interviewed and notified of election. A
maximum of 25 students will be selected.
Conditions of Appointment and Continuation
in Program:
1.
Appointments will be for the academic year.
2.
Students must attend at least 3 functions each semester.
Many events are scheduled for evening hours.
3.
Students must be willing to become knowledgeable about the
college and the community.
