Deaf Culture Readings
Deaf Culture Readings contain a list of titles of interest to students in the American Sign Language classes and Interpreter Training program that are owned by the Mott Community College Library. This is not intended to be a comprehensive list of materials held by the library. The library catalog has the most current information about the availability of these books, and others of interest not included in the bibliography. Periodicals
Periodicals are magazines, journals and newspapers that are regularly published, for example, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. These publications are available in single issues and/or bound volumes, as well as a limited collection of microfilm and microfiche. These materials must be used in the library.

Reference
The Reference section is a collection of frequently used sources for quick information, such as almanacs, general encyclopedias, special encyclopedias, dictionaries, statistical information, and literature resources. These books must be used in the Library.

Reserves
The Reserves are a collection of materials which faculty have designated for restricted circulation. Your instructors will let you know if they have material set aside for your class. Besides books or journal articles, some instructors will also provide copies of previous tests and examples of research papers. Ask at the Circulation Desk for reserve materials.

Children's Literature
This is a collection of books for children that generally have considerable literary merit, such as the Caldecott Award books, the Newbery Award books, and the Coretta Scott King Award books. These books circulate for three weeks, with no renewals. Other limitations may apply depending on your borrowing status.

College Archives
The Archives is a collection of materials relating to the history and development of Mott Community College. The collection includes old yearbooks, newspaper clippings, college catalogs from previous years, various Mott related newsletters, faculty publications, and photographs. Call for an appointment and research assistance.

Friends Collection
The Friends of Mott Library have made available popular reading for students and staff. This collection consists of current fiction and non-fiction bestsellers and is constantly changing as new titles become available and old titles are removed. The books circulate for three weeks, and titles may be requested or placed on hold for the next user.

Paperback Collection
The Paperback collection consists of popular reading materials and notable classics. This browsing collection is loosely organized by author, and circulates for three weeks. Included in the collection are well known African American authors, science fiction and fantasy authors, young adult books, and some popular non-fiction books.

Quest Center Collection
The Quest Center Collection is dedicated to providing training resources which will allow organizations to excel in the global market economy. The collection mainly focuses on productivity, competitiveness, continuous improvement, quality standards and best practices to maximize organizational resources.
