The newly redesigned Flint Institute of Arts is the second largest art museum in Michigan. The FIA’s seventeen galleries present outstanding selections from a collection of more than 7,000 objects from ancient to contemporary. The Video Gallery regularly features the innovative works of emerging and established video artists. Special blockbuster exhibitions are featured throughout the year.
The FIA is our immediate neighbor just across Gilkey Creek and Horrigan Drive. If you walk through the large student ramp on the north side of the creek (ramp G – the one behind the Ballenger Field House with the bridge over Horrigan Drive) you will find that the FIA is a 2 minute walk from campus.
The FIA is a great place to walk through the extensive galleries, watch a film in the new 330-seat theater, enjoy a beverage in The Café, or wait for your next class.
