Health counseling and related health services
are available to help MCC students feel well, avoid illness and succeed
with their studies.
Our Health Counselor is a Registered Nurse.
The Health Counselor is available Monday-Thursday during Fall, Winter
and Spring Semesters.
Health counseling can assist you with
concerns such as:
- Physical health issues and questions
- Treatment for illness or injury
- Over the counter medications for minor illnesses
- Free health screening that includes, vision, hearing, blood pressure, blood sugar, HIV and pregnancy testing

- TB skin testing
- Notification to instructors of student absences due to illness
- Referrals to community agencies and outside healthcare providers
as needed
- A place for students to rest and recuperate

A Physician is available part-time during the Fall, Winter and
Spring Semesters.
These services are free, however there is a fee
for prescriptions, follow-up care, and x-rays received elsewhere.
Services include:
- Physicals by appointment, including physicals required by the
Health
Sciences Division
- Medical consultation
- Referrals to specialists, laboratories, and medical imaging
as needed
Dental
Services are available to the general public for a nominimal fee.
