Mott Community College is accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
MCC is a member of the Michigan Community College Association, the American Association of Community Colleges, the American Council on Education, the Council of North Central Community and Junior Colleges, and the National Junior College Athletic Association. Many programs such as allied health programs in nursing, dental hygiene, dental assisting, respiratory therapy, and physical and occupational therapy assisting are accredited for licensure. Approval by the regional accreditation agency, program accreditations, and memberships in various associations provides assurance to Mott students that their credits will generally be accepted by other colleges and universities and that Mott adheres to high standards and quality programs.
MCC has begun the process of using the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) for its continuing accreditation efforts. This continuous quality improvement approach will ensure that MCC maintains and improves its plans and goals in alignment with the expectations of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.
