MCC Lady Bears Softball shows continuous improvement through dedication and determination.

The Mott Lady Bears posted an impressive season for 2016. In addition to finishing with an overall record of 44-8, the Bears won the MCCAA East Conference and the NJCAA Region XII District J tournament, earning a spot in the NJCAA Division II National Championship. The team earned a record number of wins in a single season and also smashed the single season home run record (37).

The Bears earned numerous athletic and academic awards this season. They were named a NJCAA All-Academic team with eight players earning individual Academic All American honors. Sophomore shortstop Kayla Ward was named NJCAA Third Team All American for 2016. She was also named to the NJCAA Region XII First Team along with freshman pitcher Amariah Wright. Kayla Ward, outfielder Stephanie Jurgess, and pitcher Hunter Conzelmann were named to the NJCAA District J All-Tournament Team while Amariah Wright was named the NJCAA District J MVP.

The Lady Bears are looking to win their spot back in the 2017 National Tournament. Eight returning players will lead a new team overflowing with talent. Go Bears!

MCC Softball Skills Camp Saturday, August 13, 2016 9am-12pm = Girls 9th-12th grade - 1pm-4pm = Girls 5th -8th grade @ the Softball Field 1625 Nebraska Street, Flint

Instructions given on all softball fundamentals (hitting, bunting, throwing, catching, base running, etc...) with Mott coaching - staff and players...Plenty of one-on-one instruction

9:00 AM to Noon = Girls in 9th through 12th grades
1:00 PM to 4:00 PM = Girls in 5th through 8th grades

**Be sure to register in advance to save a spot as each session is limited to 20 players.

Players bring your favorite bat (optional) and your glove. In case of inclement weather, please bring tennis shoes also as the camp would be moved into the Main Gym in the Ballenger Field house.
