The SPTA club has four objectives:

Student Physical Therapist Assistant Club
  • Promoting the recognition and presence of the Physical Therapist Assistant program at MCC.
  • Providing students who may be interested in the Physical Therapist Assistant program or field of Physical Therapy an opportunity to meet and talk with students and advisors in the program.
  • Assisting club members to attend a professional Physical Therapy conference and create enthusiasm for their profession and awareness of the opportunities for continuing professional growth beyond graduation as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Represent and promote the Code of Ethics as presented in the American Physical Therapy Association

Meetings will resume in the Fall Semester, please email us for more information.

Club Goals:
To fundraiser in order to take a trip to an event to further our educational experience.
To increase awareness to what the Physical Therapy field is able to provide and how it helps benefit the community.
To perform campus and community service and have personal interaction with students and community members.

Club Highlights

Previous years highlights include attendance at an annual professional conference where students had the opportunity to share ideas with other students and professionals. They have always returned to classes energized and enthusiastic.

  • February 2012 attended National CSM Physical Therapy Conference in Chicago, IL.
