To help students identify
their need for accommodations to complete course work, include
an invitation to student to self-disclose their disability
on the front page of your course syllabus. Your acknowledgement
of the presence of students with disabilities in your class
may project your willingness to consider the valid need for
a reasonable accommodation.
This will also give you the opportunity to refer those students to DisAbility
Services.
Here is some suggested wording:

OR
The College will make reasonable accommodations for persons with documented disabilities.
Students should notify the DisAbility Services office in the Learning Center
located in the Prahl College Center, room 2280. You will receive an instructor notification letter which
you should give me. DisAbility Services and I will then work together to ensure
you have equal opportunities available to you. You are responsible for initiating
