Construction Notices
- Traffic and Parking - Fall Semester Kick Off -
Mott College Drive, located on Main Campus off Court Street between the Library and Mott Memorial Building, is closed.
To ease traffic congestion in the center of campus during the first two weeks of Fall Semester (September 7 – September 17, 2010), Gorman Drive from Court Street to Horrigan Drive will be temporarily closed to vehicle entry from:
*
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
*
3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Vehicles will be allowed to exit Gorman Drive at all times.
During these closure times, entrance to Main Campus and access to all suggested parking may be made from Court Street onto Horrigan Drive or from Robert T. Longway Boulevard onto Horrigan Drive.
Temporary “stadium style” parking will be available at Lot T, located across from Lot S at the Longway/Horrigan campus entrance.
For the convenience of all, a shuttle service between Lots S and T, at the Longway/Horrigan campus entrance, and the transit stop between Ramps H and J on Horrigan Drive, will run continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day for the first two weeks of the semester.
For more details of ramp and lot locations, please visit the main campus parking guide.
- Mott Library Renovations -
Construction of the Library renovation is currently on schedule for completion by December 2010. The Library will remain open for business during the entire period. Remember, the boulevard between the Library and Mott Memorial Building is closed for contractor use (Parking Lot C and the gated Dental parking lot will remain open during construction). Note that this means no entry to campus from Court Street at the Boulevard and no exit from the Prahl College Center area to Court Street via the Boulevard. You are encouraged to use the Horrigan Drive entrance and to park in either Ramp G, Lot G or Ramp H. We are looking forward to bringing this upgraded facility to the College community and apologize for any construction inconveniences.
