The Tech Prep Demonstration Project (TPDP) aligns
with Genesee Intermediate School District and Mott Community College’s
collaborative mission to improve long term educational success
and career placement among Mott Middle College High School graduates.
The TPDP curriculum builds upon the career planning model used
in the county, providing career exploration activities, academic
rigor and technical skill development to students. .
Mott Middle High School in Flint, Michigan is
a 14 year old collaboration between the Genesee Intermediate School
District and Mott Community College and the 21 public school districts
in Genesee County. The high school program is located on the campus
of Mott Community College and specializes in the turn-around process
for fragile adolescents who are at-risk of dropping out of school.
Through the Tech Prep Demonstration Project (TPDP), students will
participate in one of five aligned high growth tech prep career
opportunity programs: Graphic Design; Medical Practice Management;
Medical Secretary; Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration
Technology; and, Building and Construction Technology. |
