Michigan School Readiness Program
Michigan School Readiness Program

The Michigan School Readiness program is operated by the college to provide pre-school services for four-year olds at no cost to students who are low-income and whose children are “at-risk” of school failure. The program is located at Woodside Church, across from the main campus in Flint, and at the Southern Lakes Branch Campus in Fenton. The program includes home-based services for children whose families have no transportation, as well as the center services, which offers learning through ‘hands on’ activities. Daily experiences include cooking, books, music, art and outdoor activities as well as age-appropriate field trips. This program encourages strong family involvement and provides parent education components.
