Approved Agent List by ORP Retiree Health Insurance Committee
The ORP Retiree Health Insurance Committee developed a list of criteria to evaluate and select insurance agents who are available to meet with retiring ORP employees and provide them with insurance quotes that meet their specific insurance needs.
The committee defined and used the following criteria to evaluate and select agents:
- Licensed to sell health insurance in Michigan
- At least three years experience selling health insurance in Michigan
- Independent – does not work for an insurance company
- Quotes insurance products from at least 5 companies
- Carefully selects insurance companies based on industry and financial ratings
- Committed to meet with each employee and understand his/her needs
- Available to meet with an employee on MCC’s campus, if requested
- Committed to customer service after the insurance policy is sold, including assistance with claims or issues with the insurance carrier
The three agents below have been endorsed by the ORP Retiree Health Insurance Committee based on the criteria above. Employees are encouraged to contact more than one agent on this list for the purposes of comparing insurance quotes and customer service.
