The Institute for Medical Simulation (IMS) provides American Heart Association CPR/AED classes for health care professionals and members of the community. In addition, we can offer a variety of medical training from procedural practice to high-risk sentinel events. The IMS is located in the Mott Community College Southern Lakes Branch Center in Fenton, Michigan. The IMS provides a risk-free learning environment utilizing a variety of equipment ranging from task trainers to life-sized patient simulators. The life-sized simulators have a heartbeat, breath sounds and can talk. This makes simulation training superior to other types of training. Medical Simulation allows learners to get the real adrenaline rush you would feel in a real-life situation. It provides the opportunity to practice teamwork, communication and decision making skills.
