Welcome to Fall semester 2009!  We hope you had a great
summer and are ready to participate in a full 09/10 TRiO-SSS year!




2009-2010 Changes to Note

Announcing that Ellen Jennings has returned to her original position as SSS 	Coordinator and is happy to be back to her SSS “home.”  If you have not yet 	met Ellen, stop by and introduce yourself!  We will miss Melissa and thank 	her for all her work during the past year.

SSS is “Going Green!”  Beginning this semester, the SSS monthly activity 	calendar, event information, and event reminders will be sent to you via text 	and will also be available online at the following sites:

Fall Semester Updates

The Mandatory SSS Student Orientation and Welcome Back will be held
Friday, September 25th in the Gorman Auditorium from 11 am to 12 pm.  All
members are required to attend this meeting!  Join us afterward for a Super
Secret Surprise - details will be revealed only at the meeting!

Professional Tutoring will offered in english, math, biology, and the social 	sciences fall semester.  Don’t wait to sign up - tutoring begins September 14th! 

We are now accepting applications for the TRiO-SSS Grant.  Please stop by the 	Learning Center if you are interested in applying.  After your application has
been reviewed, a SSS Coordinator will contact you if you are eligible to
receive the Grant.

The A’s and B’s Jar will return for fall and winter semesters!  Be sure to turn in 	those A’s and B’s for our monthly drawings!
