File early to avoid verification issues and long lines in Student Financial Services! File at www.fafsa.ed.gov Professional Tutoring will offered in English, math, biology, and the social sciences winter semester. Don't wait to sign up - tutoring begins January 19th! We are now accepting applications for the TRiO-SSS Grant. Please stop by the Learning Center if you are interested in applying. After your application has been reviewed, a SSS Coordinator will contact you if you are eligible to receive the Grant. The A's and B's Jar will return for winter semester! Be sure to turn in those A's and B's for our monthly drawings! It is very important that you provide us with a current cell phone number and keep us updated regularly on cell number changes in order to continue receiving SSS text messages. Letters will be mailed to those members being considered for the annual cultural enrichment trip to Washington D.C. taking place May 2-6, 2010. In order to be considered, you must have at least a 2.8 GPA at the end of fall semester and earn 1500 participation points by the end of March! Upcoming Events Friday, January 22nd - Understanding Diversity Workshop presented by Dr. Mamie Thorns from Saginaw Valley State University. This workshop is taking place in the RTC Auditorium from 2 pm to 4 pm. Earn 500 points for attending! Tuesday, February 2nd - Cirque Dreams Illumination at the Whiting. We will meet at the Whiting Auditorium at 6:00 p.m. You must have at least a 2.0 GPA or higher and have earned at least 500 points to attend. Call 232 4696 to reserve your seat. Seats are LIMITED! Earn 100 points for attending! Friday, February 5th - First Friday Meeting, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Genesee Room, PCC 1230. Lunch is provided; earn 100 points for attending! Winter Mid-Term Survival Kits will be available the week of February 22nd through February 26th! Stop in and pick up your free kit from your SSS Coordinators!
