AMSER (the Applied Math and Science Education Repository) is a portal of educational resources and services built specifically for use by those in Community and Technical Colleges but free for anyone to use. The National Science Digital Library funds AMSER, and a team of project partners led by Internet Scout is creating the site.

Length of Grant: 3 months to 10 months
Starting Date: September 2009 or February 2010 for one-semester grants; September 2009 for academic year grants.
Grantees will be affiliated with institutions in Russia that are interested in the community college model. The purpose of this award is to offer opportunities for increased community college participation in the Fulbright program with Russia; to share knowledge in specific fields; to develop new curricula and introduce innovative pedagogy; to impart a global perspective into courses at colleges/universities in both countries and to assist student exchanges.

Presenters: Earl Parks, Gallaudet University, Director of Academic Technology Deborah Chen Pichler, Gallaudet University, Associate Professor of Linguistics Mark Turner, Director of the Center for Accessible Media, California State University Chancellor's Office Technology is helping students (and faculty) with disabilities. Gallaudet U., the leading university for deaf and hearing impaired undergraduate students, has been using lecture capture video to record the instructor using American Sign Language.
