Great Teachers Retreat ~ MacMullan Conference Center
In January 2012, twenty-seven full-time Mott faculty, representing all Divisions on campus, attended the Great Teachers Retreat at the Ralph A. MacMullan Conference Center in Roscommon, Michigan. The Great Teacher movement started in the mid-1960s to celebrate good teaching at colleges and universities. Since that time, college faculty all across the country have come together in retreat settings to share teaching success stories and develop solutions to challenges encountered in the classroom. All Great Teachers functions promote an atmosphere that is positive, flexible and relaxed. Significant "free" time is provided to encourage interactions among peers as well as introspection on great teaching.
