Course Requirements: Prerequisite: Placement into ENGL-100 (ACSR-100), or completion of RDNG-030, ACLT-075, ACLT-076 or ENGL-100
Description: The cultural traditions and perspectives of the client influence his/her health-seeking behaviors. This course will explore key cultural components identified as a framework for health care delivery in a culturally diverse society: communication, social organization, environmental control, biological variations and health care beliefs. This framework will be utilized as a template in the health care assessment of particular cultural groups, including those of African, Asian, Mid-Eastern and other ethnic heritages.
