Course Requirements: Prerequisite: Placement into RDNG-030 (ACSR-030), or completion of RDNG-016.
Description: This course covers nutrient composition of food; functions of nurtients in the body; recommended amounts of nutrients to promote health throughout the life cycle; digestion, metabolism and absorption of nutrients in the healthy individual; selection of food to meet the normal nutrient requirements of the body; planning healthy menus, menu mechanics and analysis.
