Co-requisite: NRSG-202Pre-requisite: PSYC-281 NRSG-104 Note: Division signature is required for registration
Description: This course explores the wellness-illness continuum as it relates to mental health and the care of the client in the community. The wellness-illness continuum is considered to be dynamic and a client may assume any position along it at any time. Content will include mental health alterations, therapeutic approaches, use of the nursing process and mental health restoration. In addition, the course will address concepts specific to the community, including community health concerns. This course is the clinical component of the Nursing 202 series and will take place in acute and outpatient mental health facilities, as well as community health care settings.
