The Associate in General Studies (AGS) Degree is for students who wish to study a variety of areas without committing to a specific field, and is designed to provide exposure to a wide array of educational experiences. This degree provides a general background for students who may wish to transfer but are undecided about a major and for those seeking a general educational experience preparing to enter the world of work or for life enrichment.

1.  *A minimum of 36 credits from Group I, II, III, and IV are required to qualify for this degree.

2.  Courses listed under Group I, II, III & IV may be used toward fulfilling General Education Requirements.  Students may only earn credit once for the course.

3.  No more than 50% of credits required in specialized course work, unique to a program, can be transferred from another institution to be applied toward graduation from Mott Community College.

4.  Cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.
