The Early Childhood Education Program offers a multi-faceted training program to help students who wish to become or are presently licensed Family Child Care Professionals. This program meets the increasing licensing requirements for child care providers. Students may elect to obtain Family Professional Certification or to apply ECED credits towards the Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Family Child Care Professional certification may be completed in the length of time the student chooses. Students should meet with the program coordinator to plan coursework. An application for the certificate of completion may be obtained from the Social Science Division office when all courses have been successfully completed. Note that MCC does not grant child care licensing; it provides course work and credits that reflect the content necessary to meet licensing training requirements.
