Student Services

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We are excited to announce Priority Registration! You have expressed your concerns about the registration process and we have heard you. To make your registration experience more efficient and effective we will be launching Priority Registration on April 1st.

This is how it will work:

Starting April 1st, students may self-register online according to the following schedule:

  • Friday, April 1st:

Students with 60 or more earned credits can register online or on-campus
  • Saturday, April 2nd:

Students with 50 or more earned credits can register online.
  • Sunday, April 3rd:

Students with 40 or more earned credits can register online.
  • Monday, April 4th:

Students with 30 or more earned credits can register online or on-campus.
  • Tuesday, April 5th:

Students with 20 or more earned credits can register online or on-campus.
  • Wednesday, April 6th:

Registration is open online or on-campus for ALL admitted students.

To assist with the registration process, dedicated registration labs will be open in the Prahl Center with staff available to help you register online and answer your questions. For your convenience, you can also register online at any of our Extension Sites. You will only be able to register on or after the Priority Registration date for your number of earned credits.

To prepare for Priority Registration, please see your advisor between now and March 31st to plan your Spring, Summer and Fall schedule. Advisors can help you:

Advisors can also help students select courses that will satisfy the course equivalencies for other colleges and universities.

These changes will make registering for classes faster and easier, reduce online registration failures, and ensure students approaching graduation will be able to register for the courses they need to complete their degree. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions for more details on Priority Registration and other helpful information.

If you still have questions please call 810-762-0200 or visit Counseling and Advising on the top floor of the Prahl Center.

Your feedback has made this exciting change possible. We look forward to seeing you on your scheduled date.

Sincerely,
Troy Boquette
Executive Dean of Student Services
