Ann Freeman - Faculty - Counseling

Hello! I am Ann Freeman, a counselor and adjunct faculty member at Mott Community College for over 30 years. I also taught at Macomb Community College and worked as a vocational counselor in various agencies in the Detroit area. I received my B.A. in Special Education from Michigan State University and my M.A. in Counseling from Oakland University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with the State of Michigan.

I have taught Interpersonal Communication, College Survival Skills, Career Exploration, Multicultural Communication and Stress Management courses at Mott College. Having created the Stress Management course at Mott (initially for Nursing students, then all students) I am now interested in teaching it online because student interest and need for this is apparent. Along with teaching part time, I have enjoyed many new interests since retiring; ballroom dancing, watercolor painting, cultivating flower gardens, friendships and travel.
