Cheryl Shelton - Faculty - Information Technology

Cheryl was a classroom and online adjunct instructor at Mott for 17 years in the Information Technology department of the Technology Division. She has taught courses in general computing, computer programming, computer networking and computer security. Her full-time position is as Chief Technology Officer in the Information Technology Services department here at Mott. Cheryl has her bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan - Flint and her master's degree in Management Information Systems from Ferris State University. Prior to coming to Mott in 1998, Cheryl worked in various computer jobs in a variety of industries in the fields of help desk, network administrator and systems analyst before making the transition to education. Here at Mott, she has worked in Academic Computing and been an Executive Dean before her current position as Chief Technology Officer.

Cheryl resides in Clarkston with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, golfing, boating and spending time with her two grandsons. She has also served on the board of Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties and various IT Boards in Genesee County.
