Heidi Clippard - Faculty - Nursing

Hi everyone! I am full-time nursing faculty here at Mott Community College. I began my formal teaching career at Beecher Adult High School over 20 years ago teaching health occupations and health courses. I have since moved on to teaching registered nursing at the college level. I am a proud double MCC alumnus earning both an Associate of Arts and Associate of Applied Science-Nursing degrees. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree with a dual emphasis in English and Psychology from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, and a Master’s Degree with a concentration as a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner from Michigan State University. That means I can Go Blue! or Go Green! at the drop of a hat- literally!:).

I am the epitome of the life-long learner- there is so much in this world to do, see, and understand. I find that holding a spirit of curiosity makes life much more interesting and rewarding! I am a big time lover of Shakespearean literature- plays, poems, etc., and travel to Stratford, Canada almost every year to take in the plays. I am also a bit of a travel buff with an interest in learning about the history and the food of anyplace I travel. Most of all I love to read- anything, anytime, anywhere! My absolute favorite book of all time is the Oxford English Dictionary- etymology is fascinating!
