Mary Koopman - Faculty - Counseling

Mary Koopman is a Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP)and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She began her service at Mott Community College in excess of 10 years ago and is an associate professor in the Counseling and Student Development Division (CASD). Mary has, also, taught and developed programs for Michigan State University. Mary earned her undergraduate degree at Mott, where she indicated that she had an “awesome experience,” specifically with an advisor, who remains employed at Mott (and in her division!). Her studies at Mott concluded with an Associate’s Degree in Histology. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Michigan-Flint, majoring in psychology and social work. Her graduate studies were completed at Oakland University, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling. After concluding graduate school studies, Mary completed a post graduate specialization in psychological testing and assessment, which is the focus of her private practice. Her hobbies include traveling, golf and swimming.
