Hello! My name is Melissa Rueterbusch and I'm an Economics Professor at Mott Community College. A little bit about me: I grew up and went to school in Oxford, MI. After high school I headed off to Central Michigan University to pursue a business degree. My favorite classes in the business program were the Economics courses, so after I graduated with my BS in business, I decided to continue on and get an MA in Economics. I also completed a PhD from Michigan State University in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education, with a focus on the economics of education. I have taught Economics for over 20 years at various colleges including Saginaw Valley State University, Delta College, Lansing Community College, and, of course, Mott Community College. I have been here at MCC since 2000, and I truly love teaching here. In my spare time I like to take walks, watch movies, and work on my family tree. I am also very busy with a teenage son who is a percussionist and plays in the Detroit Symphony Youth Orchestra.
