Robert Benard - Faculty - Coordinator, Information Technology

Robert Benard is Professor and Program Chair of Information Technology at Mott Community College. He also has experience developing computer software, web applications, and providing IT consultation services to industry and governmental organizations. Robert earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Communications concentrating in Computer Information Systems from Rochester College and his Master of Business Administration concentrating in Management Information Systems from Baker College.

Robert holds Post Graduate Certificates in Learning Technologies and Strategies from Pacific Lutheran University. He is CompTia Security+ certified, IC3 certified, and is a Microsoft Technology Associate. Robert consistently continues his education by taking graduate college courses and attends professional conferences. He also serves on local high school advisory boards.

His areas of expertise are software development, database design and administration, and web development. Specifically, he is interested in creating data oriented applications for business environments to enhance productivity.

Robert resides in Millington, Michigan with his wife and son. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, snowmobiling, and being a dad.
