Additionally, each year MCC hosts and/or participates in events and programs that promote environmental awareness. MCC employees and students volunteer for projects/initiatives that support both campus and community clean-up and conservation efforts.

GRiT - GReen Initiatives Team“Greeny” Nomination Form

Nominate an MCC employee or student group who has made a significant contribution to the establishment of green initiatives. Help promote the things that are making MCC a green steward for our community and students. Whether its a new program, course or service that has been implemented we want to learn about it and tell folks what we are doing.

It takes 30 days to break a habit, but how about to change the world? PGC aims for both. Through 30 days of environmentally themed challenges, PGC transforms mindset, habits and practices from conventional to conscious. We go further to challenge and arm them with tools to become active advocates for good in their community. This creates the ripple effect across society that helps change the world!

MCC Green Initiatives Teams applauds the efforts by the Administration and Boards of Trustees to mitigate the effects of lead in Flint Water by installing Hydration Stations through out campus. The hydration stations contain NSF certified filtering to remove lead, other heavy metals, sediments and other contaminants. For more about water safety visit the Safe Campus Water Information page.
