Cesar Chavez Birthday Celebration

The annual march is to honor Cesar E. Chavez, a labor leader which takes place on the last weekend of March. During this event a community leader is recognized and awarded the Cesar E. Chavez Distinguished Service Award for those that follow the path Chavez set with helping others.

Community Fun Day

Community Fun Day is held near the end of August and all area residents are invited. Local merchants set up booths with information and Free Goodies while a local DJ fills the air with music. There are Free Games with prizes for children and adults alike. There is also Free Food and a Free Raffle with prizes such as bicycles, computers, and toys.

Hispanic Heritage Month

(September through October) During Hispanic Heritage Month the HTCC of Greater Flint offers numerous activities for the community to celebrate the month.

Health Fair

Comprised of over 21 Spanish speaking countries; each one having its own autonomy and ethnicity. The annual health is one of the programs the collaborative puts on each year. The health fair usually takes place during September to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexico’s Independence.
