Scholarships are given to students based on academic achievement as well as demonstrated leadership abilities and community activities. Additionally, student recipients must have graduated high school by June 30th in order to be eligible.

How Are Recipients Selected?

At each high school within the college district, a school representative (e.g., principal, counselor) determines a suitable candidate for the Trustees' Leadership Scholarship award and submits a formal recommendation to MCC. In May and June, college representatives formally present the scholarship to each recipient at their high school. In the fall semester, the “Trustee Scholars” are recognized on campus with a reception and dinner hosted by the MCC Board of Trustees.
