Providing Services to Students in Lapeer

Pre-Enrollment Information/Appointments

If you need an appointment to discuss enrollment options at MCC, please call our office at (810) 667-4166. We can assist in program information, enrollment steps, basic funding/financial aid information. Current students that need to speak with Academic Advisor should review options on the Advising Advisement Center web page.

Academic Advising/Counseling

Admission to College

Students can apply online for admission to Mott Community College (MCC) or by visiting the Lapeer Center during regular business hours. After completing the application, bring a valid photo ID next time you visit any MCC location for verification of residency.

Placement Assessment -

Schedule at time for placement using MCC Apps at MCC4me (portal accessed by using MCC login credentials)

The MCC Placement Assessment can be taken at the Lapeer Extension Center and although there is no time limit most students finish in 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

Student Financial Aid

Lapeer Center staff can review financial aid information provided by the Federal and State government. MCC students can complete MCC career program scholarships on-line.

Several local scholarships are available to students living in the Lapeer area. Scholarships available through the Lapeer County Community Foundation can be accessed online. For assistance in completing the financial aid process please visit the main campus financial aid office or review the MCC Financial Aid information.

Registration / Enrollment into Classes

MCC students should register through the MCC Planning sessions or communicate with their Advisor regarding approved courses to take. If your advisor has approved your courses, you may register for classes using your BackPack student account on MCC4ME. If you need assistance with course approval or setting up a planning session to enroll in classes please visit the Lapeer Center during regular business hours.

Cashier/Payments

Students should make any payments on their MCC4ME BackPack Student account. Mott Community College students may pay their tuition and fees via check, money order or credit card at the Lapeer Center (No cash is accepted) during regular business hours.

Computer Services (Labs)

Computers are available for student use in the Commons during open building hours when classes are in session. We also have two computer labs available for student use if needed. Hours of availability vary depending upon course offerings.

Tutoring

Individual Peer Tutoring and Group Study Sessions are available through the Peer Tutoring Center. Please use the Tutoring Information link below for additional information and to set up a tutoring appointment or study group time.
