The Mott Community College Music Department offers a wide array of ensembles that encompass all genres of music. Ensembles are required of all Applied Music students and are open to all MCC students and community members. The groups perform in concerts throughout the community several times a year. Concert Choir, I, II, III, IV - Works from standard choral repertoire representing various choral styles. (MUS 131, 132, 231, 232)
Chamber Singers - Select vocal ensemble (8 to 16 members). Vocal techniques and introduction to solo vocal literature.
Chamber Winds - Flute Quartet, Saxophone Quartet, Brass Quintet, etc. (4 to 6 members each).
Jazz Ensemble - Big Band compositions and arrangements (16 to 20 members).
Jazz Combo - Repertoire of Art Blakey, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins and others. Select jazz group (4 to 6 members).
