The Mott Community College (MCC) Art Department has entered into a food/art collaboration with Table & Tap Bar & Grill in downtown Flint. Students, faculty and alumni of the MCC Visual Arts and Design program will show their work at the restaurant on a monthly rotation beginning each month during the Second Friday ArtWalk event.

During the month of July, students from James Shurter’s Graphic Design class will be featured. Shurter is the Coordinator for the Graphic Design program at the College.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our students, faculty and alumni,” said Tim Kranz, Painting Instructor and coordinator of the collaboration. “Having their work featured in a show gives students the real-world experience of meeting potential customers and talking about their work, sharing where they draw inspiration from, and building relationships in the arts community.”

MCC offers an Associate’s of Fine Arts in Studio Art degree and an Associate’s of Applied Science in Graphic Design. For more information on these and other Fine Arts & Social Sciences degrees, visit or call 810-762-0459.
