The Mott Community College (MCC) Culinary Knowledge Bowl team earned a bronze medal at the 2017 Central and Western Region competition of the Baron H. Galand Culinary Knowledge Bowl. The competition is held annually at the American Culinary Federation ChefConnect conference. The MCC team competed with 11 teams from the Central and Western regions.

“We are proud of our students achieving the Bronze Medal this year,” said Chef Mark Handy, CEC, AAC, CDM, Culinary Arts Instructor and Knowledge Bowl team coach. “Most of our team were first-year Culinary Arts students, so this was quite an accomplishment for our team.”
