MCC to host Day of Dialogue: Empowering Women to Lead

The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) Mott Community College Chapter will host a “Day of Dialogue: Empowering Women to Lead” on March 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Event Center on the main campus in Flint.

“Our goal for the Annual Day of Dialogue is to engage our campus and the community in thoughtful professional development focused on leadership and management skills for women in community colleges,” said Dr. Sounya Walker, president of the MCC AAWCC chapter.

The event is open to the public, and lunch will be provided. Registration is required as seating is limited. The registration deadline is March 19 by emailing The group is asking participants to bring donations of food items to support the food pantry on campus.

The event is sponsored by the MCC Chapter of the AAWCC, MCC Workforce and Economic Development Division, the Foundation for Mott Community College and the American Council on Education-MI Women’s Network.
