The Mott Community College Psi Beta Chapter is a recipient of the national Psi Beta Honor Society in Psychology Chapter Excellence Award. The award is based on chapter engagement activities that promote high impact learning experiences for students.

“This award is recognition of the outstanding work the faculty advisers Dr. Brian Littleton and Phillip Nulph have done to grow the MCC Psi Beta Chapter,” said Dr. Mary Cusack, Dean of the Fine Arts and Social Sciences Division. “To have earned this award in the chapter’s second year is a testament to the dedication of the student members and their advisors,,” she added.

The MCC Psi Beta chapter was chartered 11/21/2016. Psi Beta is open to any student who has
earned a 3.0 or better in any Psychology class, has completed 12 credits at Mott, and maintains
an overall G.P.A. of 3.25. Chapter members are eligible for national scholarships.

The mission of Psi Beta National Honor Society in Psychology is professional development of students at community colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research and community service. The award goes to chapters that best achieve the mission of Psi Beta. Psi Beta is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science.
