Mott Community College’s Workforce and Economic Development Division is offering a five-course Support Professional Certificate, developed by Google, to prepare people for entry-level jobs in Information Technology (IT) careers. This self-paced program is part of Grow with Google, a Google initiative to help create economic opportunities for all Americans.

“IT jobs are in demand,” said Dartanyan Jamerson, Director of Workforce Development. “The career field offers a lot of variety, including in person and remote help desk work in everything from small businesses to global corporations,” he added.

Upon completion of the certificate, participants will have an opportunity to share their information with top employers like Bank of America, Cognizant, GE Digital, Hulu, Infosys, Intel, MCPc, PNC Bank, RICOH USA, Sprint, TEKSystems, Walmart, UPMC, Allswell, Bonobos, Hayneedle, Jet, Modcloth, Sam’s Club, Shoes.com, Store No. 8, Vudu, and Google.
