Mott Community College’s (MCC) Student Life Office is bringing mental health speaker and TED Talker Frank King to campus Tuesday, Oct. 1 for a 2 p.m. presentation in the Regional Technology Center Auditorium on the main campus in Flint. The event is free and open to the public.

The event is part of Mental Health Awareness activities on campus throughout October.

A former writer for The Tonight Show, speaker, and TED Talker,, Frank King uses his lifetime battle with depression and thoughts of suicide, as well as his skills as a keynoter, as a vehicle for ending Suicide on Campus. He covers Signs and Symptoms of Depression and thoughts of Suicide, and provides Solutions, and Postvention (what to do after a Suicide) techniques.

MCC’s Student Life Office complements and enhances the academic programs of the College and contributes to the growth of the individual student through student clubs and organizations, special programming, and student supports such as Ellen’s Closet and MOTT Eats.
