Important changes for the 2019-2020 academic year:

  1. The CLEF committee is heavily weighting student group applications that have incorporated the essential learning outcomes (critical thinking, citizenship, global awareness), and that have an outlined plan to have a global impact when the group returns from their travels.
  2. The incentive funding schedules have significantly changed, please review the CLEF procedures.
  3. The number of meetings, and consequently the number of opportunities to apply for CLEF funding have been reduced.
  4. The CLEF committee will be heavily weighting events and travel proposals that are new, innovative, and large scale.
  5. Lastly, the CLEF application process will be much more competitive this year. Please keep this in mind when developing your proposal presentation. It is critical that you put time and effort into the presentation to ensure that you set yourself apart.
