Mott Community College’s Distinguished Alumni Award was established in 2002 for the purpose of recognizing truly outstanding women and men who have provided an inspirational impact to students and/or the community and for their significant contributions to career achievement and community service. By honoring our former students we hope to inspire today’s student to strive for both personal and professional success.

In 2005, the Foundation for MCC recognized its first-ever recipient of the Outstanding Retiree Award. Awarded annually, this year's recipient, retiree Dean Haley, is being honored for his outstanding service to MCC during the Distinguished Alumni & Outstanding Retiree Awards Ceremony. • How to Nominate

  –	Nominations are due by June 5, 2009 at the Foundation for MCC, 1401 E. Court St. Flint, MI 48503.
  –	Individuals, organizations and businesses throughout Genesee county are encouraged to nominate Distinguished Alumni candidates.
  –	The award recipients are selected by a prominent panel of judges. Winners will be notified prior to the event.
  –	All those nominated will be recognized at the Annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony in October. All award recipients should be available to accept the award in person at the Awards Ceremony.

  –	Role Model Candidate inspires excellence in others.
  –	Outstanding Success Candidate has made a significant contribution to career achievement.
  –	Impact Candidate's accomplishments have a long-lasting effect on business and/or community.
  –	Community Service Candidate has demonstrated a visible commitment to the well being of the Flint area, state, nation or world.
