Providing Students Convenient Access to Technology

Information Technology Services maintains 48 computer labs at five MCC campus locations. Two of these computer labs are open labs for MCC students to use on a drop-in basis during lab hours.

Computer Lab Access

Students must present a current photo ID card and current course schedule at entry
Pay for Printing will require the use of your Student ID card as a debit card.
Your student account credentials are required to unlock the computer station.

Recreational Internet and email use may be limited. Internet and email use DOES NOT take precedence over homework users.
Food and drinks are not permitted.
No children are allowed.
The computer lab is a study area; please keep conversations at a moderate tone.
Downloading and installing software onto lab computers is absolutely prohibited.
Using the college computers signifies acceptance of the Acceptable Use Policy.
VIEWING AND PRINTING OF PORNOGRAPHIC AND SUGGESTIVE MATERIALS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES. THIS RULE IS TO BE ENFORCED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE LAB STAFF.
All open labs are Pay-For-Print.
Cell phone use is not permitted in the labs.

Use of the Open Computer Lab is a privilege, not a right. Failure to comply with the Computer Lab Rules may result in loss of your lab privilege.

Acceptable Use Policy

Computer Lab Technicians

Technicians are scheduled in the open labs to assist with:

check-in of students
technical assistance with the functionality of the lab's provisioned computer stations, printers, and devices
monitoring that lab users are complying with computer lab rules and Acceptable Use Policy

They do not provide assistance with the use of software programs or homework.

Faculty Use

The dedicated labs, when they are not scheduled for computer courses, are available for instructors to schedule for their classes/sections taught.
