Welcome to Mott Community College!

MCC is a great choice if you currently attend another college but want to take a couple of classes here and transfer the credit back to your home college. You can be a Guest Student any semester - Fall, Winter or Summer.

The Office of Admissions is available Monday-Fridays 8:00am – 5:00pm for in-person assistance.

4 Steps

Step 1

Submit Application

Submit electronically, in person or by mail. There is no application fee.

Apply Online preferred

Apply In Person

Visit any campus location (Flint, Fenton, Lapeer or Clio) - you will need to submit photo ID to the Admissions Office.

From the time we receive your application, please allow 24-48 hours for your application to be processed. If you have attended MCC in the past, you are free to complete our online application as well.

Step 2

Complete a Guest Application.

Please allow 24 - 48 hours for your application to be processed.

 A valid state or federally issued photo identification (ID) (i.e. driver's license, passport, etc.) is required for all business conducted at Mott Community College.

Step 3

Submit unofficial/student copy of college transcript(s), SAT and ACT scores, and federally issued photo id

to the Admissions Office:
Please submit these documents to [email protected] with your Guest Application. (ACT results may be used to waive Reading and other course requirements). It is recommended that you always have your own copy of any unofficial college transcripts when doing business at MCC.

Step 4

Pay for classes

Guest students usually cannot use their financial aid at Mott Community College. Payment must be made by the published payment deadline date. Contact Cashier's Office for details at (810) 762-0200.

  • Registration (a guest student may be able to register online, please consult with the Admissions Office for assistance)
    If you are unable to register in person, consider completing our release of information form identifying your designee.
