Originally from Flint, Andy brings more than 12 years of experience in education and student success, including roles as a high school teacher and coach, college instructor, Fulbright teaching fellow, workforce career navigator, and success coach. As an Adult Student Advocate, he is passionate about helping students overcome challenges and achieve their academic and personal goals.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active, cooking for his family and spending time with his son.

Felicia has been an Adult Student Advocate at Mott Community College since 2024. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. She retired from law enforcement after 20 years of service with the Sheriff’s Department.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting friends in Detroit, watching true crime television, and home decorating shows.

Jessica currently serves as an Adult Student Advocate in the ASSC and previously supported adult students returning to MCC as a Re-entry Navigator. In 2023, she earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Michigan-Flint, where she also completed her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work as an adult student.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and working out.

Mitra is an Adult Student Advocate at Mott’s Adult Student Success Center. Prior to this role, she spent ten years in secondary education, where she developed a passion for fostering inclusive learning environments.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading and experimenting in the kitchen.

Dr. Tya serves as the Project Director for the Adult Student Success Center at Mott Community College, where she has worked since 2023. She brings more than a decade of experience as an educator, business professional, and entrepreneur, and is passionate about supporting adult learners in achieving their academic and career goals.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to new places.
