Empowering Female Students Through WIE Mentorship
Wednesday, September 15, 2021 • 12:00pm
Virtually in Zoom

Join us for an interactive Zoom presentation as we showcase the role of a WIE mentor and how she empowers her mentee to shape her personal and professional pathways. This event will feature WIE Mentor Jennifer Tremaine of Real Living Real Estate & WIE Mentee Courtney Edwards. A lifelong resident of Genesee County, Tremaine’s mother once told her that when you break through the glass ceil ing, reach back and pull another woman up. Although a teen at the time, those words resonated with her. And now, through the WIE mentoring program, she is reaching out and encouraging her mentee along her own life journey. Edwards, a WIE Alumnae, is currently attending UM-Flint where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She applied to the WIE program seeking “genuine help and mentorship from anybody.” Feeling lost mentally and emotionally, she believed she was unable to make the right decisions regarding her education. Join us for this powerful session. Purchase your virtual ticket for $20.
