A child’s earliest years are all about relationships. Families and teachers that partner together with a focus on supporting infants, toddlers and preschoolers in developing trust and positive relationships help create a solid foundation toward future success. The ECLC respects and values each family and strives to create an environment in which the unique development of each infant and toddler is supported and celebrated.
The MCC ECLC Early Learning Program is designed to support responsive, thoughtful, and intentional interactions between families, teachers, and children in order to foster positive relationships.
The ratio of adults to infants/toddlers is 1:3 with each infant/toddler assigned to a "primary caregiver" in order to provide continuity of relationships and a close bond with the child and family.
The ratio of adults to preschoolers/prekindergarteners is 1:8. This academically and socially rich program provides developmentally appropriate learning in a safe, positive, nurturing environment; promoting social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth with creativity and language development.
